Rough Edges seeks to translate the love of Jesus into tangible help for people in need.

As a faith-based organisation, we are motivated by the love Jesus has shown to us.

The staff team regularly pray for the work of Rough Edges and we value the prayers of our supporters as well!

PRAYER POINTS FOR JUNE 2025

• Pray for those experiencing homelessness as the weather gets cooler, and the increased need this presents at Rough Edges. Pray that Rough Edges will be a light in the darkness providing warmth, comfort and hope.

• Thank God for the faithful work Rough Edges' frontline staff members, Angus and Gustavo, as they seek to love people the way Christ loves us.

• Pray for Gustavo, who will be leaving his position of Community Night Worker at the beginning of July. Pray that God will lead us to two people to replace him, and the right person to take on the role of case worker.

• Pray for Smoothing Stones Faith Community, a weekly time of connecting over the Bible and Christian fellowship for the Rough Edges community. Thank God that many people who come to Rough Edges have expressed faith in Christ, and pray that Smoothing Stones will be a welcoming place for those who don’t feel welcome in regular church settings.

• Thank God for the growing community of women attending Banksia Women and pray for staff who have specific challenges in supporting a few women who are in very difficult circumstances. Pray for Megan Ross as she begins her role as Community Support Worker for Banksia Women.
